Hi folks,
I have a couple of Aeon Labs 4 IN 1 hanging around the house and to be honest they are crap. Unreliable. More often then not they stop reporting or don't report at all (powered, batteries is a complete disaster). Range is not an issue as there are around 30 other zwave devices around them properly doing their job. But these ones are not ok.
So, I'm planning to replace them but I'm not sure which to take. I need temperature/humid and lux values combined with motion detection so I guess I can choose between Eaon Labs MultiSensor 6 or the Fibaro FGMS-001. So, anybody any experience with them in combi with Domoticz? Are they reliable?
Thanks a million for the info,
Danny

Re: Reliable multisensor
I have few FGMS001
except a false alarm at the really beggining (it was too sensible, so I had to fine tune it) and my upper neighbor who jumps on his floor making vibrating my sensor...
They works ok....
In past few days I'm experiencing a report timeout issue... sensor works good so I cannot really understand this message...
I'm quite positive abut fibaro

Here also using the Fibaro sensors for quite some time without problems.

Re: Reliable multisensor
Mixture of FGMS001 and Multi 6 here. The Fibaro seems more sensitive on movement and lux and the mount is easier to work with.
The Fibaro doesn't have the humidity sensor and I don't think can be powered from USB

Re: Reliable multisensor
I've had the same issue with some of my Fibaro multi sensors and wall plugs (FGMS01, FGMS01-ZW5, FGWPE). Out of the blue, they might start reporting e.g. lux every second (affects usually one sensor at a time) or then stop reporting altogether. I was first blaming the sensors but then started thinking could there be something wrong with my setup as the problem did not limit to just one or two of them. In any case, it's been now quite stable again for several days at leastdannybloe wrote:More often then not they stop reporting or don't report at all

edit: also getting occasional timeout messages but their timing does not seem to be in anyway connected to the misbehaviour. And the sensors are still working as expected despite the timeout messages.
edit2: "it's been now quite stable again for several days at least" => I take it back in the sense that I just noticed one of the motion (multi) sensors have stopped reporting the temperature a while ago. I don't really use it so have not noticed it, lux and motion is working still fine. But tells something about the reliability (of my setup or the sensors) I guess..
