Hi guys,
I just bought the AEOTEC Doorbell Gen5 for my home from Canada (didn't find it in Europe).
However, I can't figure out why I can't pair it to my ZWave installation.
I have Raspberry Pi with a AEOTEC ZStick Gen5 on it with last version of Domoticz installed.
I already have several switches and everything work fine and I'm verry happy with it.
I tried to pair, unpair, reset the doorbell but I can't make it.
Tried pairing inside domoticz by including new node, nothing is detected even after I press the doorbell's action button.
Also tried to unplung my ZStick to come closer of my doorbell in order to pair them but same thing, fast blink on click and then slow blink again on the doorbell.
Is anyone here with this Doorbell who had this issue ?
Would help me a lot !
Hope I'm in the good section to talk about this.
Thanks

I'm afraid you cannot mix different frequencies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-Wave#Radio:

Hi Nautilus, thanks for your answer.
Yes, AEOTEC support just send me the same answer, communication error.
I figured out the only way I can add it is to buy a new ZStick Gen5 with US frequency and plug it to my raspberry.
However, I do have a question here: if I have two ZStick (one EU and one US) on the same raspberry pi, will domoticz be able to switch a light off (from EU ZStick) when the Doorbell (from US ZStick) ring ?
Is it even possible to have two ZStick on the same raspberry for Domoticz ?

If you get them both working then yes you can script (with LUA or Blockly) the needed actions (the sticks do not need to interact with each other directly, Domoticz will handle receiving the needed status changes and then the related commands). I can image they should both work, but not sure if anyone has tested. Would try to get a confirmation from Gizmocuz for example.jsamson wrote:However, I do have a question here: if I have two ZStick (one EU and one US) on the same raspberry pi, will domoticz be able to switch a light off (from EU ZStick) when the Doorbell (from US ZStick) ring ?

You may be able to use both but do remember the EU one uses a frequency for use in Europe & the US one a frequency for use in the US.
In Europe 908.42 MHz is with in the band used by the MoD and mobile communication services on aircraft & vessels, your door bell could attract some interesting callers.
