Fellow board members,
While debugging my network with WireShark I've decided to wireshark my Wifi thermostat.
I think I can reverse engineer this http commands to control this thing by plain url command's.
Which makes it possible to control my home temperature just the normal way but without my app from Heatmiser or website.
This can be a fun feature for domoticz too if someone has this device.
I will keep you updated with my progress and if I can manage to do this.

I have this device also. (Not integrated to Domoticz).
The protocol is documented.
There is also a project on github which has some info on accessing it. "Heatmiser WiFi php interface"

Too bad the WiFi thermostat doesn't let plain text enter the Perl language and also the PIN is a issue.

What does this mean? Are you saying there are technical obstacles which mean http control is impractical?sstolk wrote:Too bad the WiFi thermostat doesn't let plain text enter the Perl language and also the PIN is a issue.

Re: Heatmiser WiFi Thermostat
The heatmiser itself works with an http interface for normal users which requires a pin code. Without me understanding how to do this it's useless to put time in this troubleshooting.
I'm using the heatmiser-wifi-interface which works for me. I can control the unit by sending perl scripts with the daemon running on a RPI.

Look at this post:

This is for Heatmiser PRT, not Neo
I don't know which one it is here...
