Hi,
I'm new to Domoticz. So i'm trying to setup my first configuration. I've added a device which i'm able to operate, created a floorplan and drew roomplans on it. So far so good.
Now when i try to add devices to my roomplan i get lost. I'm able to select my roomplan, i've added a device to the list of devices for that roomplan, but i'm not able to place it somewhere on the plan? I don't even get to see the plan.
But the strange thing is, the code which is presumably intended for this action, is hidden in the HTML DOM as you can see below.
So i'm assuming i'm not meeting requirements for placement in some way.
Can anyone tell me what that might be? Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Rene

Re: Cant add objects to room plan
I had the same problem a couple of days ago, I thought it was a bug until I realized that you have to go to devices and add it to used devices first before it will show up...(i think to limit the number of devices shown...)
Green arrow, not showing up, blue arrow showing up... (work around, you can just make them used (blue), add them to the plan and then make um unused (green) again... that works...
Merry Christmas!

Re: Cant add objects to room plan
Isn't it logical to not show unused devices? Why would you want that in a roomplan?
Re: Cant add objects to room plan
I use it as a roomplan with a floorplan to show all my plant sensors... do not want them in the main overview... that is cluttered enough
You can hide stuff there not normally used... like occasionally used stuff

Instead of setting devices as used/unused
Use them and place a dollarsign $ as first character in the name. This way your devices are always enables, but not visible in any tab/dashboard.
Floorplan/roomplan has a special section 'hidden devices' for that.

When i paired the device, it's initial state was green. I had to press it to 'add' the device, before i could even 'add' it to the room i created. When i make it 'unused' (blue) again, i cant even add it to the room anymore after i delete it?
So its current state is green, it's added to the room and yet still the 'placement' screen doesnt appear?
Edit: I repeated the steps and added a screencap below (warning: 1.3meg gif)

Re: Cant add objects to room plan
Found it! I was looking in the roomplan-area(as you can see above). But in order to place objects in a roomplan, you have to edit your floorplan (obviously
). Found it searching around on youtube when stumbling upon this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIY-F4M8mRs . Not really the most logical setup if I may say so.
Anyway, this thread can be closed. Thanks for reading/thinking along with me.
