There's no Xiaomi coolcam. Are you referring to NEO COOLCAM? (Once again: Xiaomi is not into Z-wave).

How can we tell if these Neo devices are really based on 500 series chips and uses Z-Wave+ protocol?

http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/?sort=na ... ric_class=

I know that "Z-Wave Plus" (500 series) controllers are fully backwards compatible, but I only want "Z-Wave+" devices.

Reason for this is that mixing 300 series and 500 series devices then the mesh old/low encryption.

Just want to be sure that these Neo devices don't use 300 series chips that dont support "Z-Wave+".

They're 500 and you'll see that once you add them to your network.

Perhaps a update for OpenZwave perhaps necessary ?

Well, just got my neo coolcam from 11/11 aliexpress discount and... That's OK on the plugs side, not on the PIR one: After inclusion, both modules were seen as ID=0x0000 & TYPE=0x0000. From z-wave nodes, they didn't looked to be fully included as well (no link in network topology to controller or any other included device). As they had included automagically when setting the batteries, i.e without pressing 3 times on the inside button after setting controller in inclusion mode, I had doubts...

So tried to exclude them, factory reset, then reinclude: Exact same problem.

My controller is a z-stick gen 5, OK with every other devices... Any suggestion?

I think that if they sent non EU frequencies, the devices would not be seen at all: Nothing on the package/devices shows device type (US/EU)...

Well, we'll get a refund for neo coolcam PIRs... 2 z-wave power plugs were also received & OK... so I confirmed command OK on this side but one just failed tonight & I think for this one after confirmation I'm just over for a reclaim.
I think this will be my first & last direct order from China!
As they say: Buy Chinese = buy two times... But on my side, it's 3 items of 4 that does not work. And maybe tomorrow will be another fail for last one!

Hmm... the same for me, I also tried to set 12 and 14 instead of 2 and 4 which the sensor takes.. only not seeing any difference in sensitivity.

For parameter 9. Basic Set Level: (lux) (huidig: 100)
It looks like it doesn't accept any other value than 100.. which is to much for my situations.

Any one else have the same?
If so we can better start a new topic for this..
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution already?

Same problem here with door sensor.
Haven't received the PIR yet but the only working neo Coolcam device is the power plug.

I also received my set of NEO motion sensors and door sensors, orderred on Black Friday. They all got recognized fine.
I'm running latest build and have a zwave aeotec s2 stick (non plus)
I had to use the sync button on the devices to get the devices identified correctly - with pluggin in the battery, they got somehow recognized, but the devices were not updating in Domoticz. After including them again, they worked.

just one weird thing with the motion sensors:
when activity is detected a whole bunch of devices get triggered in Domoticz... I just want the sensor to be updated, as i'm not using it for security purposes..more for motion based activity scenarios. I can ofcourse just ignore, but wonder why it's behaving this way.

anyone has any ideas/tips on this?

I recently recieved my Neo Coolcam Sensors.

5 door/window sensors
8 power plugs
1 flood sensor
1 siren alarm

They are working great so far but the signal doesn't reach that far (with all these sensors together the mesh network looks pretty fine though).

One of the power plugs doesn't seem to work by the way, got it paired but after that it's not working at all and no options to hard reset the plug.
Have to get a new one for that.

I didn't include the siren alarm yet because there is no xml file for it yet and I'm pretty new to domoticz.
Anyone else here also got the siren alarm and created a xml file for it yet?

Congratulations on your purchase.

The xml file has nothing to do with Domoticz, you have to create and submit into openzwave github (they have a how to manual). The needed info can be obtained from pepper1 database or from the users manual. ;)

Hello,
I had the same pb with 2 PIRs : IDs = 0000.
Indeed, the led triggers when some motion is detected so they are only failed on the z-wave side.

As said hereupper I already tried to exclude them/factory reset (long press of internal associate button)/reinclude. No way, still IDs at 0000.

At first, they were included on battery insertion (I have a z-stick gen 5 as a controller and I already set it in pairing mode before plugging the battery, so it flashing & presumed this was OK). I already thinked this may have been a problem (as another user hereupper) & tried re-association.

But no way!

So, what's the exact procedure you followed?

Thanks!

Added them by pushing button z-stick gen5, got id 0*0000 tried removing by push button twice. Didn't work, removed the pir/device in control panel, then I added it again true the control panel / add device.
