I am running the latest BETA (3.5989) and just added my first GE 12729 (rocker style dimmer light switch). Physically, it works correctly. On/off and dim up/down. It paired, but shows as:
GE Unknown: type=4944, id=3033
My GE Fan dimmer switch looks similar (GE Unknown: type=4944, id=3034) and works fine.
In Domoticz, it doesn't seem to keep up to date with the current state of the switch. Physically turn the lights off, they still show as "on" in Domoticz. Hit again, and now they show as "off." The level of the dimming doesn't track well either, drops to 2% instead of off sometimes.
For example, it shows the previous level right now as around 50% but is "off." Turn it "on" and the lights turn on with current actual light level, but Domoticz drops the dimmer gauge to very low, 2%. Click "off" and it still shows as "on" but the dimmer gauge switches back to 50%, but the physical light turns off. Click button one more time and now Domoticz shows it off and the physical light stays "off."
I tried changing the device over to being just on/off instead of dimmer but that didn't help.
Anyone else with same switch?
Thanks,
-Britain

Rather than just turning off, it gradually dims to off, I wonder if this is confusing domoticz

Re: GE 12729 and Domoticz
My previous theory was correct. With the latest beta, I deleted the local config file and restarted Domoticz and it recognized the device officially (before it said something like GE Unknown Device). Now it also lists all of the config options.
Setting the "Dim Step" options to 99 removes the fade in/out behavior, and also makes it so that Domoticz reliably reports the current state.
Very happy to find this as I like the idea of the switch and wanted to add a few more around the house, but wasn't going to while this issue existed.

Open Z-wave folks haven't caught up to GE changing the entire consumer line from 45xxx to 12xxx. It's driving me crazy and I cant get them to respond to my requests. All the previous devices, with the new designation, appear as unknown now.

Actually I had to add this to the manufacturer xml file:
<Product type="4944" id="3033" name="12729 2-Way Dimmer Switch" config="ge/12724-dimmer.xml"/>
Under <Manufacturer id="0063" name="GE">
