Domoticz integrated with SmartThings + Echo + Siri

Post by superczar »

Here is a setup that has been steadily growing since I first installed domoticz around a year and half ago.
It includes
  • Controllers : Domoticz on Rpi2 (primary hub) + SmartThings + HomeBridge + HABridge (on old RPi)
  • Voice - 2 X Amazon Echo + 1 Echo Dot
  • Lights - 5 LIFX + 3 Hue + Hue Beyond Pendant + 12 milight
  • Sensors - Over 15 sensors for temp , humidity, Baro, power consumption, motion + Z-Wave CO+Smoke sensors X 2
  • Lock - Kwikset 912 lock
  • Relays - ESP8266 based relays X 5 for misc fans & lights , 2X Wemo
  • Cameras: Mix of cheap D-Links and few old USB cams hooked to openwrt routers
  • Remote - Harmony Hub
Most of the equipment was bought locally but some of the devices (e.g. Echo, Z-wave Door Lock) were hard to source in India or too expensive and were picked up during visits to the US and UK

Here is a video of some of the elements in action:

Hi,

that looks great, it is exactly what I'm trying to do.

How did you manage to get Domoticz and Smartthings to play nice? I get it as an unrecognised controller and most of the commands on the Smartthings don't work (if not all).

I ended up disconnecting the ST hub and reconfiguring Domoticz from fresh. All good now, for Alexa (the reason I wanted ST) I use now HA Bridge which I like it even better

Very nice setup!
How like to get some more details on how you'd setup everything!
Raspberry Pi ~ Fibaro Dimmer (Z-Wave) ~ Several KAKU switches and dimmers (433 MHz) ~ Amazon Echo ~ Somfy RTS ~ Sony TV ~ Kodi/XBMC ~ Essent E-Thermostaat (ICY) ~ Cresta thermostat ~ Wundermap Weather ~ Smoke detectors

My experience has not been very stable, but that was a year ago... maybe now things play better. That said, I found Domoticz much easier, scalable and stable that ST so I ended up giving up on them.
