Clas Ohlson 36-1779 (Esic WT450H) temp/hum sensor

Post by jarwis »

I bought Clas Ohlson 36-1779 (Esic WT450H) temperature/humidity sensor. Here's what I have to say.

I'm using Domoticz v3.5877 (latest stable version at the moment) on Raspberry Pi and RFXtrx433E.

The sensor works only (!) with RFXtrx433 Type1 Firmware so I had to upgrade the device with RFXtrx433_Type1_1009.hex (latest at the moment). After the upgrade the sensor is recognized as WT450H and uses Hideki protocol.

I placed the sensor about 10 meters from RFXtrx433E behind three doors and it worked fine showing RF Signal Level 6.

Unfortunately RFXtrx433 Type1 Firmware does not support Banggood temperature/humidity sensor which uses Rubicson protocol and which I have plenty. So I'm forced to go back to RFXtrx433E Ext Firmware and scrap this Clas Ohlson sensor.

I strongly recommend to study the compatibility of this sensor with your setup before buying!
