Golmar Tekna V2 color intercom using 2-wire bus system

Post by Redguy »

The intercom system in our apartment building was recently upgraded. We now have a shiny new Golmar Tekna V2Plus color handset in our home providing us with a pretty decent 3.5" color screen showing images from the camera in the intercom terminal at the main entrance to the building etc.

Thing is.. if you push one of the buttons, it will provide us with a crisp color image of that camera whenever we want. Not just when someone rings the bell.. Apparently, the video signal is provided on the 2 wire bus system at all times. I would like to use that video signal and add it to my home security system.

Apart from that, the handset provides us with 2 different signals to tell us somebody is ringing our doorbell downstairs or at our front door, which would be very nice to integrate into the Domoticz system. And the handset enables us to open the front door downstairs, another option I would like to add to domoticz.

Anyone here have any experience with the protocol used for these phones ?

Edit :

Made a little headway, opened up the unit and took a peek a what's inside..

The tft appears to be pretty standard, a vs3000 3.5" display.cant find the data for this specific model but similar models on the chinese website say it is a cvbs input. Basic composit video.

Trying to find data on the onboard chips now..one of them seems to be a microcontroller (a mc908qy8 http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/dat ... df?&srch=1 ).
another is a mc1496 which is a balanced (de)modulator.. http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/MC1496-D.PDF

The video signal is not provided all time. The camera module is powered on once you push te button (or someone rings the bell) and stays on with a certain delay. Unfortunately I don't have the protocol, it's hard to find.
