Full Domoticz backup

Hi,

At this time i use a script to stop domoticz, use tar to backup the entiree domoticz folder, start domoticz and then copy the backup file to a ftp server.
Is there a good way of doing this without stopping domoticz ? I want it to run all the time. (Except for updates of course......)
