Hi all,
I have domiticz running on a raspberry pi with an rfx433e and all is good.
I also have a miGenie hot water/heating system that works via an app. It has a gateway and also uses 433mhz, but the rdx433e doesn't support it.
I have discovered what the commands that are being sent from the iPhone app to the miGenie web service to turn on the heating and water and off again.
In order to get it to work with domoticz I need to set up a virtual switch that needs to send a http post with a json payload. But it also needs to use basic authentication.
I've no idea what the best approach is going to be though! I suspect that I'll need to create a Lia script to do it all but I can't find anything that would help me.
Is there any example that people can post to help me?
Thanks all
Integration with miGenie

Re: Integration with miGenie
As the iPhone/iPad app communicates directly to the bridge and the bridge communicates through an encoded message to the hotwater system you need to focus on the communication between app and bridge.
Start with figuring out what port the bridge is listening to, and which http get/post is transferred to it from the app. When you have tese 2 requests o and off you can try to past those commandstrings into the scriptingboxes from a dummy switch.
Simply try from the addressbar of your browser you can easely discover how the bridge responds to request. You sure have to know what ipaddress the bridge is using before you can make requests

Re: Integration with miGenie
Maybe you can ask to drayton if they plan to provid an API to integrate Mi Genie to home automation system.
If communication between room thermostat and boiler is on 433mhz you can try with an RFLink to get it (i do this with a 868 modele who i put a 433 tx and stunteam got it working)
I know that Drayton german branch (EBERLE) is working on a multi protocole gateway to work with their room thermostat.

Domoticz stable 3.5877 for real & Domoticz beta for test
