I have build an zwave alarmsystem with an RFID keypad K2000 (AD2000-M) and an fibaro binairy sensor.
I use domoticz on a synology nas ds 213j
This is working very well.
The only problem is that I can't see if the alarm is armed or not.
Is it possible to connect an 12v led diode on the fibaro binairy sensor?
Then change the setting 'type input of no.1 and 2' of the binary sensor from NC (normally closed) to monostable or bistable?
I gues that de input must be open to let the led diode burn.
I don't no of this is working or can be done.
May be there is an another simple solution to see the system is armed?
Hopefully can someone help me with this 'problem'
Greetings Jacco

Re: Led diode on RFID keypad
Most LEDs are between 1,5V and 3,5V. Haven't seen one of 12V...
There are projects for RPi and Arduino that drive LEDs in on/off or off/blink/on.
Most of the schematics are explained very well, so it can help you start and adapt to your liking.
Does your keypad have a LED for powered on? Maybe you can tap into there.

Re: Led diode on RFID keypad
Thanks for your reply
I was looking for this one:
http://www.allekabels.nl/led-diode/7369 ... diode.html
I know that the qubino has an output.
I don't have much experience with ardino boards (i thought that is easyer by a Raspberry pi, i have an synology nas).
Hoping that this was enough.

Re: Led diode on RFID keypad
dont know the specs/interface of the qubine (no zwave devices at the moment) so i can't tell for sure if that will work the way you think of.
looking a the price, buy 2 and you can blow one up
Mostly the Arduino and RPi schematics are build towards the lower voltage LEDs and have some saveguards extra as in resistors etc. so a minimal resistor (near 10 Ohm) in between (look at some schemas !!!) will saveguard overvoltage. You can always try with a low voltage (5V), low current (600 mAmpere) smartphone adaptor if you like.
Can't help you further, as i don't have all the links available at the moment. But Google is your friend.
