How could I debug this problem why this is happening?
Today it happend again, I left home and during the day I realised that Domiticz thought I was still at home, the Pilot app didn't noticed that I left home. I've the WIFI enabled, that is not the issue. I was also not on the phone when I left my house, so I had 3G/4G data available.

@Patrick: do you know what is going on? How can I debug this situation?
I haven't found any reliable geofence app for iPhone, Pilot is not an exception in this. Must be something iOS related? Currently I'm using the "Find my iPhone" -method which is not a lightning fast to react on location changes, but it has been very reliable for me at least (might have been that someone reported issues even with this method)...

Hi Patrick,
Since about a month (iOS10 update?) every time I open the app I see the logo for a few seconds and I need to wait until I can start using the app.
I don't know why/how this has changed, but it is quite annoying during daily use.
Could you maybe reduce the time for the splash screen in a future version, or make it only show on a full restart?
Thanks
Domoticz on RPi3 + mochad + razberry + RFXCom.
Devices: lamps / blinds / curtains / alarm.
Controls: iOS app / RF remote.
TBD: ir TV remote control, presence detection.

Splash screens do only show when the app first loads. More likely is that iOS is closing Pilot for performance reasons so you get a full restart most times. I find that using Safari often seems to kill off other app instances.

I get the same. In fact it has been very hit and miss lately. It is a good idea to play around with the range from home you have set in the app. However I suspect this may be an iOS issue (throttling of location updates maybe) or a bug. I wonder if it is related to the widget controls which stop working after a while.

Could be that indeed this issue (defect) started after I upgraded the iPhone 6 plus to 10.1(14B72). I just also noticed there is another iOS update, V10.1.1. I will upgrade and monitor if this improves the GPS location issue or not. Would be good if Patrick can debug this issue on his side. Or let me know how I can debug it on my side. More than willing to help resolving the problem as I really like the location services in this app.

Tried Owntracks over MQTT? Been working fine for me for at least 18 months without a hiccup.

Yes, tried it around half a year ago (i.e. still with iOS 9). While I was home, it consistently located me to certain spot a few kilometres away - just for a minute or two - then back to where I actually was...:D

I upgraded my iPhone to the latest iOS and Pilot seems to work again, I left home a couple of times and each time Pilot detected that I left. I will keep monitoring this of course and will report it if the problem occurs again.

Would there be any reason why I don't get the option to add any widgets in the notification area, Pilot isn't even listed as an option. I've selected 3 as the number of favorites under Today widget settings

I'm on iOS 9 and running V 1.9.2

secure & expose mqtt to the web, then use node-red to clean up data, append idx of device in domoticz, and fire it into domoticz/in

I can hazard a guess that that would be why.

Today installed the latest version of the pilot with watch support.
However, after starting he says that first the Pilot settings have to adjusted. However, no settings to findto change the Watch

Hi, can you try force touching the app and tap the reload button, see if that solves anything? ;)

I can't connect with my Domoticz server using a reverse proxy (IIS) with a webroot. I see the following error in the Domoticz logging:
2016-12-18 20:57:21.927 Error: Webserver: File '/:80/json.htm': Invalid argument (22)

Anybody got an idea what's wrong?

As of today, you can't control the color of rgbw devices with Pilot ;)

Today I downloaded the Pilot app on my iPhone. I want to see my P1 meters in favorites and I get current usage kWh and no current usage m3 gass usage. The only thing that is displays is my total ammount of that meter. Can this be changed in the app?

Pilot: Home Automation Control (iOS app)

I love the app, it's getting better quickly, even to the point that I am seriously considering to replace the mobile web page shortcut on my iPhone with Pilot!
However, the main reason I am not doing this yet is because I am a bit of a graph addict, and graphs in Pilot still s*ck to put it bluntly (excusez le mot). I would IMMEDIATELY switch:
- If bar graphs would be displayed as - you guessed it - bar graphs
- If the data points on the graphs were not connected with splines that try to create a smooth line. This looks very ugly if the data has "steps" in it, e.g. when a percentage suddenly goes to zero, or even when a temperature sensor was almost constant during the last 24 hours and you see the resolution of the sensor as steps. You then get an overshoot (or an "undershoot") which doesn't only look ugly, it can even suggest that the data was briefly below zero, which is obviously impossible for many variables.
- If not all graphs in one view would share the same scale, like temperature and humidity. Why not use two scales in such cases, left and right? This enables you to actually see if e.g. temperature dropped a few degrees when outside humidity is close to 100%.

Is it possible to look at any of the above topics? I would even be willing to pay again for them, that's how much I'm starting to like Pilot!
