Hi all,
With router port forwarding configured, my setup works well, remotely, with no Website Protection 'Basic-Auth' username/password configured.
I use http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx:8080 on my iPhone / MacAir with Safari and access the dashboard O.K. with all switches etc working well.
Plus,I can use JSON calls to query Domoticz e.g. getting a list of all switches etc. - all O.K.
When I configure a username/password it works on the host PC with the simple login box but, not remotely.
I am using the following format to call up the dashboard remotely:
http://MyUserName:[email protected]:8080
:as per the Wiki 'Domoticz API/JSON URL's'.
Format
http://<username:password@>domoticz-ip<:port>/json.htm?api-call
<username:password@> = the username and password to access Domoticz, this is optional.
domoticz-ip = the IP-address or hostname of your Domoticz installation.
<:port> = the port number of your Domoticz installation, this is optional.
I get - browser cache failed and DOMOTICZ OFFLINE.(clearing the cache does not solve the problem)
In my frustration I loaded the Chrome browser onto my iPhone andMacAir - and using the above Wiki format, everything works well on both platforms.
Is there something special I must do to make it work with Safari?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Kevin R
