The new Fibaro relay FGS-223,

Post by stuiow »

Hi all,
I need to buy 2 x dual relays to control a couple of water valve's on my heating.

I was going to grab 2 x fgs-222 but seeing the new fgs-223 is out, i may as well go for them.

BUT are the FGS-223 working well in Domoticz yet or are there issues to be ironed out?
I want the relay's installed and working by mid-late october really without any issues. (they will control access to a log burner i have install on my heating system)

I did read somewhere they would work better once the new OZW is updated, is that true as well?

Cheers all
Stu
Now setup on a RPI3.
Also using Evohome HGI80, RFXTRX433E and a Aeotec Gen5 stick. Mainly a Gen5 Z-Wave system.
My weather (Davis vantage Pro2) data is obtained by weatherunderground

Hi,

Please note the FGS-223 has no relay function, you can only switch 220V.

I'm on the latest beta but I'm still experiencing the issues that the switch status is not always displayed correctly in domoticz. Maybe I have to remove and add the device again.

Having the same problem here. I can switch the S2/Q2 relay through dometicz and on the physical wall switch but I cannot get the status sent to domoticz when using the wallswitch.

The very strange thing is that I have two of these switches - one work and the other one doesn't.

I can vouch that the FGS-222 were a little problematic when I 1st installed them, going to sleep, STAYING asleep and just being a bit untrustworthy.

Now, no doubt due to Domoticz/OZW updates, they are rock solid. I have one that operates my boiler HW/CH and it works like a charm.

Unless the FGS-223 has an additional feature you need, I’d advise the FGS-222

Hi Sean,

It's the zwave PLUS which convinced me to buy the FGS-223. Especially the longer range..
I have a strong belief / hope that this is just an early bird issue and it will be resolved with a later domoticz release. (just like the issues you had with FGS-222)
Or am I now very naïeve..??
