FOXX/Aeotec extender

Post by jmansion »

I bought a couple of Foxx range extenders, UK plug. FOXX tech support says they should work just as the Aeotec devices, here:
http://www.openzwave.net/device-database/0086:0000:0000

I press the button on the side, nothing shows up in Domoticz. Same with both of them.

The red led is flashing (ie they ARE powered - and eventually the flash rate changes), and the socket is right next to where I currently have a Dannfoss temp sensor.

I'm currently using V3.5776 on Win10 64bit with a ZWave.Me USB - the hardware is identified as:
OpenZWave USB
Version: 1.4.340.g71af464.dirty

No problems with the Danfoss thermostat, apart from disappointing range.

What should I expect to see in the UI?
What happens with 'real' Aeotec extender devices? (I suspect the Foxx devices are actually the same thing, rebranded)

I have 'Accept new hardware' ticked.
There is nothing in the log window relating to discarded messages - would I expect it?

I had not attempted a heal, but I have now.
Apart from a dialog asking me whether to initiate, I see no difference at all.
I went over to the repeater and pressed the button on the side immediately after clicking 'OK'.
But in fact it has prompted me to try 'Include node'. And it worked.
I'm pretty sure I did NOT have to do that for the Danfoss - I have the 'Accept new devices' turned on.
Maybe I just forgot,
Oh well - thanks!

Update: well, the unit is registered. But it doesn't work, I'll post again.
