Milight/applamp is always groups, and then to a maximum of 4 groups / bridge. But you can always put 1 light in 1 group
Hue is alot more flexible with that, but more expensive.
RFLink looks interesting though, iirc you can control them seperately, not sure though.

Only no bulb is so good like the HUE....
And for now the yeelight is very cheap and acting the same like HUE.

Have been using them for 2-3 years now as well:
this is what I had:
- bridge keeps losing wifi-connection;
- range problems;
- colors not always correct (with homebridge for example) sometimes just jump to white, which is very annoying at times.
But, it's a cheap product

Works the best...
Yeelight nice stuff.. quality les then HUE
