Hello,
I would like a Z-Wave door-lock. Or more specific: I want to retrofit a z-wave door lock, if possible without changing too much.
I have a few pictures attached of my current door with lock, do you have any experience if there is some standard, and thus standard parts in Europe?
Or even better, do you know of a lock that would work with my setup?
thank you
Daniel

In my opinion Domoticz is not nearly secure enough to implement electronic door locks.
If someone gains access to you system they can open your doors with one click.

Yeah I wouldn't trust leaving my doors to this and nor would the people I pay insurance too either.

Have a look at Nuki Smartlock. It is not zwave, but bluetooth. However with a spare smartphone and their free bridge app you can let it talk with Domoticz using their api. I have no experience with it, but it looks promissing.

Re: Z-wave door lock compatibility with door
I strongly agree with this point, Many of the smart locks that are on the market are geared more towards convenience rather than security, so you don't want to add any more security deficiencies. If you would like to use a z-wave door lock I would suggest something from the Schlage brand of smart locks. They are very reliable as opposed to some of the other smart locks on the market. No matter which smart lock you go for, you will have to do some amount of research to make sure it suits your needs, this might help give you an idea of what to look for: http://united-locksmith.net/blog/7-esse ... smart-lockbbqkees wrote:In my opinion Domoticz is not nearly secure enough to implement electronic door locks.

Like I said, no matter what you choose make sure it works best for you, and make sure that you always pay attention to the security features!
