Installation of domoticz takes forever Topic is solved

Hi all,

Is there anything I can do to speed up the initial install / compile of domoticz?

On my raspberry pi3b+ (running rasbian) it is taking hours to complete.

I might have something not done right... ??????

any ideas?

no hints, compile just takes forever (as in more than 60 minutes..

eventually it will finish with no errors..

I have a 32GB Samsung EVO microsd.

60 minutes is not bad for compiling the first time on a RPI 3B.
Did you use a swap file as per the recommendations on the wiki ?

On a raspberry PI compilation could take a long time. Suggested is to use a swap file (see above) if you have less then 4GB of memory

I compiled myself Domoticz on an old Sony Vaio netbook (Atom CPU...) as the easy install script gives a 404 error for a 32bit CPU. It took almost all night to compile, but it's up and running now . Only 2GB ram and without swapfile .
