Re: big house project
Evohome has a nice website with prices, which is nice. but are there any good other options to manage heating, and monitor electricity and water? I think Evohome is doing mainly heating/cooling. The prices on their website are higher than most websites show. If you want to monitor electricity there ...

Re: big house project
Good morning, * Ethernet is overkill for most control tasks. I would use Z-wave for most sensors (provided money is no showstopper). Z-Wave provides a mesh network with bidirectional messaging and in my experience it is very reliable. In my case I used LAN wiring as signal cable because it's cheap ...

Re: big house project
Hi, a short answer for now. I am in the middle of a custom new build project. And designed the automation system with Domoticz in mind. I tested several setups in the year before. I came up with the following solution. - Main goal is to keep the system as opensource and flexible as possible - Future ...

Re: EvoHome HGI80 + OpenTherm boiler module
Hi, I've updated my Github branch to add in the ability to use any of your Domoticz temperature devices as a remote temperature sensor for any Evohome zone if you're using the HGI80. It works by creating and binding a Evohome remote zone temperature device in Domoticz and then you can link this ...

Re: P1 smart meter Adruino LAN gateway
Thanks for the hints. I managed to get it working. I now use the Adruino UNO as serial to LAN P1 gateway for the meter. Domoticz is indeed connecting once without sending data. So I changed the code who will now just send data to all connected clients every 10 seconds if there are any. #include ...

Re: P1 smart meter Adruino LAN gateway
Thanks for looking into this. So you are saying I should continue to send data. What I do now is wait for domoticz to request data and answer back once, like the browser. Because you have to fill in the ip address and port of the device I figured out that Domoticz is requesting data at a set ...

P1 smart meter Adruino LAN gateway
Good day all, I connected an Adruino UNO to the P1 port of my landis & gyr e350 smart meter. Re: Domoticz Evohome/Honeywell HGI80 sensor simulation
Hey thats great! I just saw your post as I forgot to switch on post notification. I will look into this but it sounds promising. I have the Syno package so I don't know if the versions are the most recent available although an update is released almost everyday.

Domoticz Evohome/Honeywell HGI80 sensor simulation
Hi All, For a while now I'm using Domoticz with Evohome, Rfxcom, Milight all running on a Synology NAS. Still impressed of the flexibility and functionality. In the near future however, we will start rebuilding the house and I'm now investigating how to integrate Domoticz. I will start another topic ...

Re: Domoticz app 2.0
I like the app very much. I use the widget functionality to select different scenes. I also use geofences in combination with sunset to switch on the lights. However when I'm at home many times it signals 'away' and 'entering zone' it would be nice to have it solved. I guess what happens is that the ...
