I have the same error but only when I try to install Daikin interface with Domoticz:

I just follow exactly the instructions, but this step goes wrong on my Pi3:
tar xfvz jq-1.4.tar.gz
pi@raspberrypi:~$ tar xfvz jq-1.4.tar.gz
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Even the command parameter without -z did not work ...
tar xfvz jq-1.4.tar.gz

Try to make a manual switch (left side) instead of the learn option (right side). If the PROmax have been linked to the remote, switch the wall plug on then pull it out, plug it back in and press OFF on the remote, this will unlink your remote. Also the Led starts blinking which means it is ...

By having PROmax being mentioned in that list means that it is work in progress or does it mean it is implemented?
