Re: Fibaro Dimmer 2 FGD-212 supported? New type!
yes you will need to recalibrate; go to setup > hardware > select 'setup' next to your zwave usb device; go the the specific device and set parameter 13 (Force auto-calibration) to "Start auto-calibration of the load with Fibaro Bypass" That worked great thanks - The Bypass2 was simple to install ...

Re: Fibaro Dimmer 2 FGD-212 supported? New type!
If have a Dimmer 2 where I get slight glow off 1 of the 4 GU10 LED spot bulbs so I've ordered a Bypass 2.
Am I right in thinking I'll need to recalibrate after adding the bypass ?

Re: Exclusion issue ?
To answer my own question - Turns out the device was gone from the Z-Wave hardware list but was still there in devices as an unused Z-wave device. And I had a lua script referring to it which seemed to upset things as it existed twice with the same name. I've now removed the 'old' one fully and ...

Exclusion issue ?
I accidentally excluded a device using the device itself and not in Domoticz using the 'exclude node'. Then I added it back in and its now gone from device 2 to 8, and it functions fine. There is no reference to device 2 anywhere I can see but it has been popping up in the domoticz log with a z-wave ...

Its also worth checking you've screwed the antenna on tight enough. I had poor range initially but then tightened the antenna bit and now its all good.

Compatible outdoor PIR sensor recommendation ?
Has anyone got a recommendation for an RFLink compatible outdoor PIR sensor ? It would be in a spot with no overhead cover (against a wall) so would need to be properly weather proof.

Re: DIY Web App for a changeable status ?
I've now set it all up and its working okay. One of my main objectives here was to avoid exposing anything on my home network. On the Domoticz server I have a simple bash script running a loop - it checks the external website every 5 seconds and if it sees the home status flag change it then does a ...

Re: locative/geofancy used for indicating when someone home
Any idea how to delete a geofence ? The app appears to refuse to allow you to delete one unless you back it up to their site. Sigh.

Re: DIY Web App for a changeable status ?
Many thanks - Once you'd confirmed that php was the right sort of thing I got this working in 10 mins with a few lines of PHP :D I'm going to use this for geofencing so I can avoid having to make Domoticz visible on the Internet. Geofancy/Locative will be the iPhone and when triggered will call an ...

DIY Web App for a changeable status ?
I'm really not sure of the terminology for this so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I want a very simple website where it can be called with a URL to change a variable, and it could also be called with another URL to see the value of that variable. I've done pure html back in ...

Re: Pilot: Home Automation Control (iOS app)
To answer my own question - I've now played with Pilot and OpenVPN and they work great together for when your actively using the app so the phone is awake. The limitation is VPN isn't active when the phone's screen is off so the location services notification from Pilot will fail (as there would be ...

Re: Pilot: Home Automation Control (iOS app)
Is anyone using Pilot with OpenVPN ? Seems like it would the best solution to avoid having expose your Domoticz server to the internet and still get the geofencing with Pilot to work with an iPhone.

Resyncing status of devices with Domoticz after an outage ?
If my Domoticz box was down for day so it became out of sync with the status of various devices like contact switches (e.g. door has changed from closed to open and is still open) then whats the best method to re-syncronise the current status of all of the devices and Domoticz ? Would a 'Heal ...

Re: LightwaveRF contact switch
Just a quick note to say the LightwaveRF contact switch is now working great after assistance from Stuntteam and now its correctly logging the opening and closing of the contacts. I've also got 5 LightwaveRF Dimmer switches working around the house now using RFLink so its all looking very good ...

LightwaveRF contact switch
I have a lightwaveRF contact switch which is recognised by RFLink and Domoticz, and in the Domoticz log I can see it creating an identical log entry for opening and closing. But in the actual log for the switch this is just showing as status OFF for the opening/closing events so the contact switch ...
