Re: RFXtrx433 not receiving
So some sensors started to report back but not many. I have about 20 sensors in all. There is no X10 in the house, I removed that a while back. No lightning here lately. I have changed the batteries in the Wind and Rain sensors. I have slowly been turning things off 1 by 1 to try and find what's ...

RFXtrx433 not receiving
Hello, Is anyone seeing issues with their RFXtrx's? Yesterday morning at about 1am both of mine stopped receiving information from my sensors. I have a RFXtrx433 and a RFXtrx433E. Both of these are connected to a Windows computer that runs Domoticz. The devices are in separate rooms with one ...

Weather point device on kickstarter
I came across this on Kickstarter and thought it was quite interesting: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/weatherpoint/weather-point-20-the-worlds-smallest-weather-stati?ref=discovery I wonder whether we might be able to use the API to integrate it into Domoticz once it is released, it seems to ...

Re: Domoticz on Windows 10
I also have it running fine on 8.1 What do you get if you run "netstat -a" from cmd? is 8080 listed in the port list? Can you see a Domoticz process in task manager? Are there any messages in the Windows event log? I see a bunch of message related to nssm that shows Domoticz starting and stopping.

New Hardware support
Hi, Before I go about raising feature requests for the following I wanted to gauge if there is any interest from others on the forum in having these natively supported in Domoticz. I have or am considering purchasing the following hardware: Heatmiser Neo - http://www.heatmiser.com/neo/ - I have been ...

Re: Denon & Globalcache
I've had a quick look though the API, I haven't tried any of it but from my reading you have to first setup the serial port and then send the raw data to the device and it will transmit it down the serial cable, so: Port 4998 for setting up the port: set_SERIAL,1:1,38400,FLOW_HARDWARE,PARITY_NO And ...

Re: Seneye Fish Tank Monitor
Looks like it may be a solution for you in the future: http://www.seneye.com/coming-soon The web server thing is designed to send the information to their servers without needing it to be plugged into a computer - this is nearing completion I believe and they have closed the beta program. The new ...

Re: Denon & Globalcache
I've not looked into at as I am not using the serial ports on my GC100. However it should be fairly easy to modify, you just need to look at the API and see what the command is for serial. This part: sendir,4:2 Refers to the IR, so you would need to know what the command for serial is and also what ...

Re: Seneye Fish Tank Monitor
I use these:
http://www.seneye.com/devices/seneye-home
I have made some progress today making appropriate sensor types, right now I add them all as temperature and its not great, I have been modifying the code and have this so far, needs a little tidying and also adding to the UI:

Re: Denon & Globalcache
Try running these 2 commands from the console:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libjson-rpc-perl
I've not tried them but the apt command is how I add packages.

Seneye Fish Tank Monitor
Hi, I have some Seneye Fish Tank Monitors in my house and wanted to get the information they collected into Domoticz. Seneye provides access to the information it captures via its API website - api.seneye.com I created some dummy sensors and then a script that read the information from the site and ...

Re: Denon & Globalcache
Simon - I don't get that JSON error. I'm using the Raspberry SD image with little or no changes - I did run the update commands to make sure the Linux was up to date. The output after the JSON part looks correct - I get a similar line listing all of my Squeezeboxes. Iron Man - I'm not sure what is ...

Re: Denon & Globalcache
My scripts are using: squeezy -SQ-Bedroom -on Where -SQ-Bedroom is the SqueezeBox name. To check that squeezy is working navigate to the directory where you extracted it and run the command: ./squeezy This should show you a list of all your players - make sure in your conf file you have the 2 ...

Re: On/Off action script trigger
Doesn't the name of the script have to follow this pattern:
script_device_doorbell.lua
So you should rename yours to:
script_device_internet_radio_on.lua
Not sure if the extra _ will cause a problem so maybe:
script_device_internetradioon.lua

Re: Denon & Globalcache
I've had a play around with the SqueezeBox stuff and seem to have it working. Try the following: 1. Download the stuff I linked to earlier 2. Extract to a directory on the Pi 3. Configure the squeezy.conf file - I let it auto discovery the server and devices and also commented out all of the other ...

Re: Denon & Globalcache
You should be able to download the SqueezeBox thing and call it via os.execute in the same way I am calling the Python scripts.
Maybe I will have a look at the SqueezeBox thing at some point, I have a couple of them as well.

Re: Denon & Globalcache
You can force Domoticz to use Python, here is an example of how I call the scripts, its a Lua script called "script_device_LoungeTV.lua", in the directory /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/lua/ -- -- When scene changes run GlobalCache script -- Sending Sky Button press -- commandArray = {} if (devicechanged ...
