As a followup... 1. is a problem somewhere with w1-gpio/1-wire where is that?, guess I will find out soon as I want to use the raspberry gpio, but not 1-wire... i2c have temp sensors... though some nice metal encased 1-wire sensor assemblies... 2. at 2 frames a second low-res qvga (320x240) RPi load ...

I made the errors go away by commenting out the w1 modules in /etc/modules and commenting out the device tree setup in /boot/config/txt #dtoverlay=w1-gpio I was seeing w1_bus_master popping up in top every 2 seconds or so and hogging 30% of the raspberry cpu. error and cpu load now gone... raspberry ...

on raspberry webcam works with fswebcam, but not with uvccapture.

Yeah same with my old webcam, works in fswebcam and do not want overhead of motion running, should be possible to use fswebcam as command to trigger image capture rather than uvccapture
