Only the colors are not working very well. Must test it with another controller.
When I choose FF0000 the light is purple. When I remove the blue wire the light is Red.

Never mind. Read the whole topic again and seems that it's not possible.

It's also working with USB 3.0.
Later this week I will try to add an jumper to the RESET-EM and will go on with a software solution.

no, I tried it with an external power suply (500mA & 2A) but that was also not working.

The 2 USB ports on the back are 3.0 and the front USB is 2.0.

I guess this means that we have to click on the reset button if we need to update the arduino firmware :-) Or just put a peace of iron between the plates... Would be better if there was a jumper for RESET-EM instead of a 'wire'. I have the arduino connected with the USB 2.0 port. Will test the 3.0 ...

The cdc-acm.ko comes default in synology kernel. I am not a developer and have looked at different solutions, but not solved it yet :-) The problem is in the Auto reset. I cut of the "wire" between the two plates where stands the text RESET-EN and now the RFLink is working on the Synology DS214play.
