i think this answers your question:
1. Unplug the door chime
2. Pull the battery from the door chime button
3. Enable "accept new hardware" in settings
4. Check undec & byron in RFXtrx433 hardware settings
5. Put the battery back in de door chime button
6. Press it a couple of times
7. Now go ...

Is the X10 DS90 with a on/off suitable for outdoor use ?
Nope, don't think so, but it isn't low cost even.
But it has a connection for a extra wired contact. Place DS90 indoor and extra contact outdoor?
