**Aeotec 6 Siren Workaround**: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
**Aeotec 6 Siren Workaround** While this solution might not be the most elegant, it works. I'm just a simple user who figured this out through trial and error. For technical support, please be aware that my expertise might be limited. However, I believe the following guide should help you get ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
an update for users with the same problem. It appears to be a problem that the volume dimmer in Domoticz is compatible with a volume field in Zwave JS that does not work, there are 2 fields in Zwave JS with volume "[78-121-1-defaultVolume] Default volume" and [78-121-1-volume] Volume domotic is ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
Perhaps you can install MQTT Explorer and see what is all known of this device by in MQTT for Domoticz MQTT Autodiscover. Perhaps we are missing something here. https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/MQTT#Use_MQTT_Explorer_tool There will be a homeassistant folder with all ZwaveJS specific devices (Binary ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
thank you for your efforts and I also hope that there is a developer that can solve this because it goes further (too far) for "normal" users
and otherwise it's a shame about the siren, it was handy that I had a good one with a lot of sounds

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
that's completely empty! Do you agree with me that it all becomes very complicated because there are things missing. parts of this device in domoicz. As a beginner, I just dived into Node Red and that's how I got the siren on. so in the mqtt and zwave js the problem is not when it comes to getting ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
That sounds complicated. There is no other way? What kind of options do you have on the setup button in Domoticz MQTT Auto discover hardware (menu setup hardware)? From the MQTT discover messages It does not seems so but perhaps we missed something here. I don't quite understand what you mean by ...

There you choose the sound with an option such as bell 1 [75-121-1-toneId] Play Tone and choose the tone you want to play and then press save and the siren will emit tones.

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
For the sake of clarity and completeness, if you turn the dimmer on or off in Domoticz, it will come on in Zwave Js. The mqtt will then be 2023-10-01 09:42:03.544 INFO MQTT: Message received on zwaveNW/sirene_aeotec_6/121/1/volume/set: '0' 2023-10-01 09:42:28.282 INFO MQTT: Message received on ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
It seems from the discussion on the Zwave-JS issue that from zwavejs you should use the dimmer as a switch. 0 is off, 255 is on. Is that working in Zwave-JS-UI? Yes, that's how it works for lamps, when you set the dimmer to 20%, the lamp will light up. you would also expect this with the siren. so ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
I saw you made an issue on Domoticz and Zwave-JS GitHub. Can you now switch the siren on from Zwave-JS-UI? First you wrote you could not do that. When this is possible then what are the mqtt messages when switching the siren on/off there is no real on off button that is where the confusion is. If I ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
If Zwave-JS-UI has no switch on/off then Domoticz also is not able to create a switch on/off. You have to discuss this on the Zwave-JS-UI or Zwave-JS GitHub repository. clearly, just a question, do you know a good siren that works like this with domoticz? I want to be able to choose multiple sounds ...

Re: ZW162 (Aeotec Siren 6) No siren switches Domoticz -> ZW-JS-UI
What happens if you switch the siren on/off from Zwave-JS-UI? What mqtt messages are being created by Zwave-JS-UI? I don't think I was completely clear. there are no on/off buttons. I can play sounds in Zwave JS but there are no on/off buttons so no Binary switch that you can turn on/off small ...

Yes I did that. I also deleted it completely and added it again. I see more than just the dimmer, but in fact no switch or something like that.
