by issuing a systemctl status check_beacon_presence you sould get something like:
Active: active (running)
and not
Active: active (dead)
or
Active: kill
or something else

if so... the script encounter an error and must be checked

Here is the result of start the script, and how it stops around 30 min later:

I have added 2 virtual switch to simulate presence detection. It works ok, since by any reason, Domoticz stops detecting any of them, while it seems that the check_beacon_presence.service ...
