Aeotec made an all-in-one controller and strip package. Unfortunately they no longer make or sell it.

What are the alternatives?

The only one I have found is the Fibaro RGBW Controller 2.

What RGBW LED strip works with it? They don't really say on their documentation or website.

I was thinking of using 'upower' to either poll or listen for power events. This sensor would be on the host that is running Domoticz.

The LiftMaster (Security + 1.0) systems are also not compatible. I talked with Nortek support and they said it must be an incompatibility they did not know about. Now all it is is a glorified open/closed status indicator.

In case anyone ever stumbles on this I want to provide an update. The new dimmer switch arrived and it is working perfectly. Off is off and On is on. Dimmer works with incandescent and Cree LED bulbs.

Aeon Labs support says to try 10 seconds totally unplugged and then try again. That didn't help (tried 1+ minute, several times).

I'm returning it to Amazon and trying another one...
