Hi,

I have both old Xiaomi temp sensor (round one) and new temp sensor (Aqara - more sqaure one).
Aquara one works flawlessly with Domoticz, but the round one has issues with humidity values.
Below in the post I refer to the round one.

While this isn't exactly a solution for you original request, maybe it will solve your requirement.
There is a solution that turns on tablet screen based on motion detection by the device's front camera.
I haven't tested it myself, but I will give it a try.

I figured it out - here is my solution in case it helps anyone.

step 1: add two devices as switches ("Door Open", "Door Closed")
step 2: change the type of the switch to "Push On Button" and "Push Off Button" respectively
