Hi Pierre,
From my own experience it does work. I got a zwave setup using 7 door/window sensors, 1 outdoor siren and 1 indoor siren.
I choose zwave for the security aspect which is higher then Rfx, and yes I do realize it's still not as secure as a hardwired solution.

Made up my mind as well since I already invested in my Pi and Z-stick so not going to back them.

Agree about the data in the cloud is not the way to go forward, far from even. Try to stay away from it as much as possible (although with an Android phone, gmail etc that isn't really happening to start with). But was more thinking about the fact that Homey will run on a Pi as well an with the ...
