Re: Rain gauge suggestion
Also interested in this topic, as there is a lot out there, but reviews are really all over the place. my preference would be zwave. Was looking at Netatmo, but again reviews range from "don't waste your money" to "lovin it, works great" and everything in between. With what happened last June (and ...

Re: Z-Wave.me ZME_RC2
SOLVED! :D :D First of all a BIG thanks to Jos who pushed me in the right direction with some PM's. He kept me from "selling the lot" ;) Also thanks to mcwieger who gave the last couple of hints to use "scenes" (the "step 5" was very important for me to figure out the "inner workings") I updated to ...

Re: Z-Wave.me ZME_RC2
Hello Jos, It would be GREAT if i could switch on a "per device" basis, but I THINK it is only possible to switch groups and scenes. If I could switch groups it already would be a very good start. I don't need to do a lot of different things, just to keep the wife happy :-) As per the threat i found ...

Re: Z-Wave.me ZME_RC2
Hello Experts, Is there some sort of "step by step guide" on how to work with Domoticz and the ZME_RC2? I was able to "include", so it is visible as a node on the zwave network. But after that absolutely no progress. I have read through this post several times, but I cannot find the "golden tip". If ...

Re: Z-Wave Motorised Blinds
Hello, short update from my side. It works now to have the Fibaro FGR-222 stop "mid-way". I re-calibrated, and changed the type to "blinds Percentage". The "operational catch" was that for percentage to work I only need to operate the slider, and not the buttons. So all works now and like Emme I am ...

Re: Z-Wave Motorised Blinds
@Emme, I just started off with one Fibaro FGR-222 for my sun-screen, and works fine for "completely open" and "completely closed", but I cannot make it "stop half way". Did you try this? Or is fully-open, fully-closed enough for your application. Thanks for the feedback, Wim,

Re: database size and growth
DB size does not look like the owner anymore at all. It is little under 1MB.
I had a different post where I asked why backup was not working, so, that was also because of the 8GB db. So I updated that post as well with root-cause because also now backup is working fine.
Thanks again

SOLVED: - Domoticz backup on Raspi locks up
All, To complete the post :) The issues is solved. The DB had turned 8GB in size, and on a slow MicroSD it took 1 hour to backup. So with some help on this board I figured out the reason for this 8GB DB size, and will shrink it down to "normal size". Then Backup also should work. Have installed a ...

Re: database size and growth
OK :o 12 MILION entries in "LightningLog" did the trick. AND I actually now know what caused it. I had a switch to one of the Raspberry GPIO pins, but (just lazy ;) ) figured "I do the pull-up resistor later". When I noticed all the log entries on the exact date-time I remembered the "incident ...

Re: database size and growth
Thanks for the ultrafast reply. So I was "about right" that the DB is quite "heavy". Perhaps it wants to look like the owner ;) . I have logging also at 1 day since most stuff "works or it does not" and only use it for trouble-shooting during install/configure. So I will for sure Google around if I ...

database size and growth
Hello Experts, I am running Domoticz now for couple of months, but at SOME point (don't know when anymore) the database has grown quite significant. From de default to 8GB. (on a 32G card this is significant) I am running Domoticz on a Raspberry and this 8GB database is quite "heavy on the small box ...

Re: Domoticz backup on Raspi locks up
Thanks for the quick reply. Checked all logs under Linux, and nothing indicates bad card. I cloned the card to and also no errors during copy. (you got me worried there for a second, so a clone is always helpful) Tried the "backup" again from the menu. I ran "top" if i could see what is going on ...

Domoticz backup on Raspi locks up
Hello experts, I am using Domoticz V3.5731and want to run "backup" from the settings menu. When I do that the system "locks up" from a Domoticz functionality, but the Raspi itself I still can logon and operate through putty. but web interface stops also responding. What can be the issue, or what log ...
