Fibaro Roler shutter 2 does not respond after one night

Hello everyone!

I am new to Domoticz and to make a long story short I have a Raspberry 2 with RazBerry Z-wave module.

Everything seems to work smoothly.

The Fibaro roller shutter is the first switch to connect. It went quite easy: automatically recognized, added the fibaro switch to my dashboard, calibrated the roller shutter and it works (50%, open, close, everything).

But: when I tried to open the shutter in the morning there was simply no response. No connection between domoticz and the switch.

That same day I removed the switch from Domoticz and re-paired the it. All worked fine. But... the next morning (this morning) again the same: totally no response.

Because I am fairly new to Domoticz I was hoping somebody recognizes this behaviour and knows a solution. It's quite annoying :)!

Thank you very much for helping!

Kind regards, WIllem.

Update: the sensor seems to crash because of rhe android domoticz app. I just tried to use the app to set the status and afterwards the switch did not respond anymore.

After a reboot it worked fine trough web browser. I will try tomorrow if this is the issue and let you know.

Doubt that will be the reason.
Do you have a stable ZWAVE network with enough devices?

Hi Jos!

I only have one sensor installed at the moment. Could that be the reason?

*EDIT* just checked: it does not work anymore. One hour ago it did... so the Domoticz Andoird app is not the problem.

Kind regards, WIllem.

Yes the issue is likely not having enough devices or to much distance between the controller and device. ZWAVE is a mesh network were all none battery power devices act as repeaters, so it normally requires a couple of devices to create a stable mesh.
