when you have a aeotec Gen5 Zstick You can easlily include/exclude devices locally(not with domoticz)
my question.
when you exclude lest say device 7 and right after that include the same device/module again will it assign the same ID?
so I am talking about the Zwave ID's, not the Domoticz IDX(which will probably change)

ok bummer
i have read that when you attach a temperature sensor you need to exclude/include the module again.

It will get the largest ID + 1.
Example:
You have ID's from 1 till 14. You exclude 7, after inclusion the new ID will be 15.
If you exclude 14 it will be 14 again because the largest ID after exclusion was 13.
So, if it's the last included device you want to exclude/include the ID won't change.
Edit: this was a mis, seems that every exclude/include generates a new node ID.

ok thanks
then I am in the clear
the last device is 10, which is de device i need to exclude/include because of connecting a temperature sensor.
now the second question is will those domoticz IDX numbers change or will it only add the IDX numbers for the newly added Temperature sensors

The IDX numbers aren't that important. Why are you afraid they will change?
But, since the node ID won't change there's a great chance the devices will stay just the same. Not sure, but pretty shure.

I know that feeling. Sometimes a pain to find all obsolete devices after exclusion.

i tried it today.
exclude number 10
include
the module gets number 11
maybee this was for the best because now i could delete every device starting with A

Yes, sorry for that. I tought I saw that in the past. Yesterday I learned that it isn't the case.
