Is the Logging configurable?

I wonder if I can configure the logger more precisely in order to troubleshooting for a particular module.
I used to develop in Java and it was very practical to use Jog4J - it allowed any module to log its messages in any level of details under its own namespace

For example, when I am facing troubles with MySensors then I guess there should be a module responsible for integration with MySensors so I would be able to configure it to be more detailed. Moreover, the current log I see in the user interface Setup->Log isn't much detailed and I have no idea how to change its parameters

May I suggest improve the logging mechanism? To make it more configurable up to per module?
