I don't use 3rd party bulbs for my Philips Hue, but maybe others in this forum do.

Re: Philips Hue blocks 3rd party bulbs in latest app update
I have, but just for testing. I recently bought Osram starter kit and Hue Bridge. I don't like either of them.
1. Osram don't have API (yet?) and all commands seems to go via Osram server.
2. Philips is better, but before this latest stupidity, their problem is safety feature to turn all lights on and basic settings after power has been off.

They are going to roll back this 'feature' shortly in a new firmware update.
