I Have A p1 converter cable from My Smart Meter to my raspberry pi.
In domoticz I could add the device and I see as expected two Smart meters Energy and Gas.
The energy is updating every 5 min, but I still don't see any gas data? How is this possible?

This can take up to 2 days.
Also make sure you tich the box at 'allow new hardware device'.

The gas meter sends its values every hour. But if your smart meter was placed today/yesterday, it can take indeed a few days before everything is working as it should.

You also need to use gas otherwise it wont show up.

I had that problem when I added a P1 cable in the evening and the return did not show up.
However, in the evening it is dark and thus no solar panel production.
In the morning they were added.

I have the meter for several months, but I just started to set up my Pi and connect with the cable to the Smart Meter.

Where can I find the box at 'allow new hardware device' to check?
My CV uses gas and also when I cook. So its should be showing

I also taken a picture this morning of the gas meter and now, And I definitely use gas

Setup->Settings.

Also check if the gasmeter is still in your unused devices list.
Filter on the hardware type.

The gas meter is not in unused list. And "allow new hardware" was already checked

How come I don't see the gasmeter?

after some more investigation i found out that Stedin did not activate my gas meter. So to solve this i activated my gasmeter.

1. Druk één keer kort op de rode knop om het scherm te activeren.
2. Druk nog een keer op de rode knop en houd deze 8 seconden
ingedrukt.
3. Op het scherm wordt nu ‘>>>’ getoond. De gasmeter is dan
geactiveerd.

Ziet u ‘>>>’ niet op het scherm verschijnen?
Dan is het activeren niet gelukt. Herhaal dan de stappen.
Let u erop dat de informatie op het scherm van de gasmeter volledig is
verdwenen voordat u de stappen herhaalt

ITRON
TYPE RF1 G4 t/m G25
1. Druk één keer kort op de rode knop om het scherm te activeren.

U ziet dan rechtsonder in het scherm één of twee pijlen.
2. Druk nog een keer op de rode knop en houd deze 8 seconden
ingedrukt.
3. Op het scherm gaat nu de bovenste pijl 60 seconden aan en
vervolgens 60 seconden uit. Dit ‘knipperen’ betekent dat de
gasmeter geactiveerd is.

Gaat de bovenste pijl niet knipperen?
Dan is het activeren niet gelukt. Herhaal dan de stappen.
Let u erop dat de informatie op het scherm van de gasmeter volledig is
verdwenen voordat u de stappen herhaalt.

ELSTER
TYPE BK G4 t/m G25
1. Druk één keer kort op de grijze knop om het scherm te activeren.
2. Druk nog een keer op de grijze knop en houd deze 8 seconden
ingedrukt.
3. Op het scherm wordt nu ‘install’ weergegeven. De gasmeter is dan
geactiveerd.

Ziet u ‘Install’ niet op het scherm verschijnen?
Dan is het activeren niet gelukt. Herhaal dan de stappen.
Let u erop dat de informatie op het scherm van de gasmeter volledig is
verdwenen voordat u de stappen herhaalt
