Z-Weather

Post by Ricard1 »

Hi All,

Just included my new Z-Weather wind/weather meter but it seems I get no values from it... Searched for Z-Weather but did not get a single hit here! Am I the first one with it? :?:

Product link: http://www.popp.eu/products/sensors/z-weather/

Cheers!

i tested this device a while back.... what version of domoticz are you using ?
also note, that this device does send updates on it's own time frame... it could take some time
also while testing, the battery drained very fast...

Thank's I'm using 2.3530.

Still no data received.. However I am not experienced in Z-Wave devices, I migth do something wrong... Just been running some 433 devices for a month now and it works fine, mostly, so I realized I wanted a more reliable system for critical functions. Yesterday I started with some Fibaro Smoke sensors and they showed up with sensor data. I did not test if they trigger fedbeck on smoke or heat but will test that to be sure.

I have tested manualy "request configuration" but no responce from the Z-Weather (or smoke sensors), only time I get "last seen" updated is if I "repair" the nodes or Razberry radio.

Best regards,
Ricard

i see there is no configuration file for the z-wave.me
my test node was showing as 'popp'
you could copy/paste the popp configuration in the manufacturer specific file and add it to Z-Wave.me
also make sure your controller (node 1) is in group 1 of the zweather, better to consult the manual to see to which group the zweather is reporting (most times group 1)

Thanks sounds promising. However no power avaliable for testing, not even at sun set today... :( ok it was a cloudy and rainy day, not much light to charge the built in capacitor, still it have to be designed to work regardless of winter and bad weather! If the Z-Weather keeps failing in solar powering I have to return it for money back. Hope it will be enough solar rays tomorrow...

Cheers!
