Hi - new to lightwaverf and rfxcom so this may well be an understanding issue on my part- but I am looking for some guidance.
I have rfxcom running latest (249) firmware - I have it listening on the lightwave protocol - all good so far - when I press buttons on the remote I see device(s) appear - there are two that are identified - one that is essentially the group/mood mode - it recognises the group off and moods 1 through 3 - so far as expected.
The other device it sees is in response to the on/off/dim buttons - it (rfx/domoticz combo) like the on/off but seem oblivious to the long press dim up/dim down capability of the remote.
Changing the device from switch to dimmer in domoticz looks to be the right thing to do - but whatever duration I press the buttons I only ever get on/off in response.
So - did I miss something in the setup or is the mood remote not recognised.?
any help or pointers appreciated.
thanks

Re: lightwarerf mood remote - dimming functions not recognis
As far as I know and how I have 6 of them working, the two big buttons on the mood switches are purely On and Off if you pair them directly to a LigthwaveRF light switch, paired to a switch in Domoticz they will simply switch on / off, if you use a script in Domoticz you could potentially do anything you like with them.
I use this link with my mood switches to tie them to Domoticz Scenes and / or Groups - http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... mood#p3963

Re: lightwarerf mood remote - dimming functions not recognis
thanks for the reply.
This isn't a mood controller (as in the "lightswitch" with two big and 4 small buttons) - this is the mood remote (http://www.directtradesupplies.co.uk/pr ... oCUdPw_wcB) the two buttons at the bottom - the up and down are on/off for a short press and bright/dim for a long press - it came as part of the "dimmer starter kit".
It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work - but if it can be made to work i have some uses in mind

Re: lightwarerf mood remote - dimming functions not recognis
Just bumping the thread really - but I would like to know if rfxcom and domoticz are able to read dimming commands from lightwaverf - I am installing a few in wall dimmers - and I would like to use their range of wireless dimmers as secondary switches - I could use them to drive the in wall ones directly, but if I can use domoticz to supplement the logic by receiving the dim / bright and processing in a script I would like the flexibility.

The RFXCOM receives the mood commands. Please check with RFXmngr.
Unknown to me if this is implemented in Domoticz.

Bert
I will check in rfxmngr - but the issue isn't MOOD commands, they work
The issue is DIMMING - the mood remote has two main functions mood 1 through 3 and all off and an up and down button - short press on those gives on/off longer press gives bright and dim
these two "function areas" mood on on/off/dim appear as two different devices in domoticz - if I tell domoticz the switch is a dimmer - and move the slider - the correct values (dim/bright) are transmitted - but there does not appear to be any handling of the dim/bright commands when sent from the remote.

Re: lightwarerf mood remote - dimming functions not recognis
Dimming is not supported because the RFXtrx433 has only the short On/Off commands.
With the remote you will normally transmit the dim/bright command until you see that the dim level is what you want. This is not possible for Domoticz.

thanks - makes sense - I will look to pair the remote directly with the lights and let domoticz receive the mood controls, match them to scripts/scenes - and get the effect I am looking for.
