IKEA Koppla support

My first post - so if I've posted in the wrong forum then please accept my apologies.

Is there any chance that the Ikea Koppla protocol will be supported in Domoticz?

I'm using V2.3338 with an RFXtrx433E transceiver using type 1 firmware 92 (which supports the protocol) and can control the Koppla switches using rfxmgr.

I have around a dozen Koppla switches (some with dimmer and some without) but the remote control for them is broken, so at the moment they are lying around doing nothing. I'd like to make use of them if possible, ideally within Domoticz, but if not, then I'm looking to use rfxcmd.pl in conjunction with Domoticz to get them working that way.

The problem is that to get rfxmgr working with the RFXtrx then I have to share it over the network to a windows pc which means that I then can't use Domoticz or rfxcmd.pl to listen to the codes that rfxmgr sends, as sharing the RFXtrx means that it can't be accessed locally :(

If Koppla support in Domoticz is unlikely to be implemented (and I accept it possibly won't be as there won't be a lot of demand for it), then can anyone help getting it to work with rfxcmd.pl or point me to a forum where I can ask?

Thanks for any help

Ross

Hi all,

Just a quick update - I'm aware that I can use something like RFLink Gateway or similar to achieve what I want to do and I've not ruled that option out, but before I go the route of buying more hardware I'd like to see if I can get it working with what I've got.

Does anyone have any suggestions that can help?

Thanks

Ross
