Usage vs Meter

Hi all,

I have Arduino Nano with a pulse meter and nrf2401l reporting data back to Domoticz. I am just trying to understand the difference between "Usage" and "Meter".
Meter provides me with current usage, usage today and yesterday. What is "Usage" providing? I need to figure out why it is only updates once when Arduino starts up.

Regards
Alex

You should add a $ character infront of the name for the usage

the difference, usage only reports the usage, and the power also have the counter value and the usage,
and you should use this one

what happens internally:
- usage is received, and reported to domoticz
- next, a power sensor is received, and reported to domoticz!, nice!
- we keep updating only the power sensor with the power and usage, the usage sensor is not updated anymore

thats why you receive a timeout

we could also always update the usage sensor... but why would we, as we have a good power+usage sensor

Got ya!
So in really only one is needed for the energy monitor unless there is a complex set-up (solar + normal usage).
