Mi-Light WiFi Bridge

Hello,
Anyone is using Mi-Light Wifi Bridge with domoticz? The bridge is being kicked out of network periodically - this is very annoying
How can I update the firmware? I am also looking at
http://servernetworktech.com/2014/09/li ... pberry-pi/
to convert it to wired rather than wireless.
I also have a problem with colours - it is blue instead of red etc. How can I correct it?
Regards
Alex

I use Mi Light with Wifi bridge for 1,5 years now with almost no problems. I had to unplug the device maybe 3 times, but that was due to a change in my dhcp setup. I do have assigned a static IP to the bridge in the DHCP table of my router. I don't recognise the color problem you described..

My bridge disconnects alot of times per day as well, wouldn't be surprised if these (cheap!) things have a bit of a connection problem 'built-in'
I connected my bridge to a 433mhz switchable wall outlet and ping it. When it's not there, switch Off/On and it's back. Fairly dumb workaround.
About the color prob's, seen that alot too (me, friends, etc).
My HUE-stuff doesn't have any of these problems

Looks like I was lucky to get a stable version bridge. Maybe the power supply can also be a reason of error?

Tried various power sources - from router's USB to 2A power supply. I can assure you that the reason for this problem is not power.

I looked at it too, but do not think this is a good workaround.

I guess I am the lucky one to have a bridge with wireless issues.

I don't think it's good either. But it works

. And we're both lucky

I tried the bridge in a different location and it looks that it works flawlessly. No idea what may have caused the issue, but I think this is multiple WiFi networks at my place. Will have to modify the bridge.

Just to let you all know I bought a new WiFi bridge and it is super unstable. I think it must be the network or combination of things. Modification is unavoidable if I have to stick to Mi-light.

Mine has been fine.
I'd look at the channel your using and see if there is many others in the area using the same channel. 2.4g gets very busy and the drop outs i'd say was possibly down to this.

OK, I think I found the problem. Apple TV - as soon as I disconnected (unplugged) it, the bridge started working fine. I am still testing it.
