Interface to x10 power line and RF interface

HI folks,

I know, you'll tell me to trash all that x10 hardware and start fresh...

I am pretty new to Domoticz, it's now running with just a few new sensors. I have other hardware that has been running on x10 for many years and I'd like to see if there is a way to interface it to Domoticz. Most important are some switches communicating with a server through the W800RF32A link. Second priority is a CM11A power line adaptor.

Is there any way to link these two worlds?

Thanks
Z.

CM15 (usb powerlineadapter) is supported by Domoticz. Wireless X10 is supported by Rfxcom.

US and Canada X10 RF is using 310MHz and supported by the RFXtrx315 (only one left in stock)

@RayAmsterdam

Can you give me some pointers on how to get the wireless X10 RF working with that module?

thanks
Z.

X10 security sensors and X10 lighting motion sensors (MS13A) and remotes like SS13A are received by the RFXtrx315.
To control X10 power line modules you need an RF-Power line transceiver, for example TM13A or an X10 security panel with a X10 power line connection.

note that the X10 RF signals are much faster than the X10 power line and commands must not be send too fast or else commands are lost.

X10 RF (433Mhz) is received by RFXcom. I have some doorsensors wich are picked up. Make sure you have X10 selected in the configuration of the RFXcom.

Thanks folks for your answers. Your solutions require buying new hardware (from rfxcom) and I was trying to avoid that. For that money, I could build some simple mysensors door switches! I already have a working 310MHz receiver on the server, the W800RF32A, so I ma trying to stay on the cheap.

So let me know if this can be done: I am mostly interested in reading X10 door sensors (DS10A) that already work with x10. Since I have heyu running in the same server, the heyu daemon could launch a script when it detects that the switches go off. Is there any way to create some sort of "software door switch" in domoticz that gets triggered from a script?

Thanks
Z.

That's possible through JSON. Check the Wiki.

@RayAmsterdam

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing. If anyone else is interested, let me know and I can post details. Works great!

How do I set up a CM15a in windows ? I was trying to find what I should use in the hardware settings. I have the z-wave and nest pieces working, but I couldn't find anything for x10. I just downloaded it and started.

Hi Zuru,

I'm actually very interested in this set-up. If I understand you correctly, you use heyu to receive X10 commands (is it only wireless or also powerline commands?) and then domoticz to execute some sort of script?
