Switches combined with power readings

Post by SevenW »

Do switches with additional info already exist as devices in Domoticz?

I am asking this because I am aiming at a more complete Plugwise integration in Domoticz. (one way or another)
Plugwise circles combine: Switch, Schedule (On/Off/StandbyKiller) and energy metering.

Combined in one web-ui device would be nice, but even if all three aspects of one circle needs to be separate device I see the following issue:
A schedule can be turned on and off (like a switch), but also has a schedule identification (name). A string value that needs to be editable.

Would this be possible? Are there suited web-ui devices? If not what would it take (me) to implement them.

There are a bunch of Z-Wave devices with power measurement. Fi. form Fibaro, Aeotec and Qubino.

They appear in Domoticz as seperate devices; A switch, a Power meter, a total consumption meter and for Qubino also a temperature meter.
How you want that displayed in Domoticz that is up to you.

I agree with StevenW, when I see a switch and many energy going through it, I want to be able to ask myself to stop it or not, going through two screens ang down the list is very long (I have 2 6 greenwave plugs plus more devices).

Grouping switch and energy consumption as in vera is important in a UI !
