Danfoss LC13 temperature
Hi,
I can view the Danfoss LC13 device (thermostat, clock) but I can't see the device in temperature tab. Is It normal? How can I read room temperature and notify about it? f.e. i na display or in Domoticz temp tab.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
Is that the "Danfoss Z Thermostat 014G0013"?
As far as I know you can't read temperature of it. I would prefer that also, than I don't need the thermometers in each room anymore.

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
yes, It's that thermostat.
Can I make a scene to turn off a SSR303 actuator when all LC-13 are off (with the correct temp) and wake up when not? I'm newbie with Domoticz
Thanks a lot for your help

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
How will you determine if they are off or on?
Only way I know is comparing the setpoint with a thermometer.

I don't know hehe
Now I don't know If is better to change the thermostat to Stella Z or buy thermometers
Thanks for your help again

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
Buy thermometers, or Fibaro smoke detectors. Then you'll have safety and temperature in one.
I had ordered some StellaZ but couldn't get them connected and I find the way of mounting insufficient quality.
The Danfoss is the third wireless valve I have and is absolutily the nicest in design, accuracy and noise.
Only downside is that they don't handle rechargeable batteries very well. As far as I have read several manuals from other makes/models none of the wireless valves do.

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
I'll take your advice. Could you recommend me a termometer?
Do Yuo know if philio pst02-1B is fully compatible with domoticz?

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
Nope, sorry, I can't advice yet.
I still have Smartwares 868Mhz thermometers connected thru a homewizard.
Other thermometers are buitlin Fibaro motion sensors and smoke detectors.
I think that I'll by some more smoke detectors, especially for the sleeping rooms. Haven't decided yet if it's wise to install those in bathroom or livingroom.

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
i remember there where 2 versions of this thermostat device, the later is i think reporting temperatures, but do not pin me on this

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
According to http://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=9439 :
I would think we have the latest model?– the model 014G0002 doesn't support z-wave anymore since firmware 3.02 (seriously?)
– the model 014G0012 support z-wave and is newer
– the new DAN_LC-13 (014G0013) supports SDK 4.5 (although here is says it doesn't support explorer frames, so not 100% sure)

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
Today I also installed a bunch of these thermostats in my home.
Type 14G0013, the latest model, firmware version 1.00, supports sdk 4.55, but has no temperature measurement functionality.
This seems strange, since the device needs room temperature readings to work at all. I modified one of the thermostats to function inside a floor ventilation duct (convectorput in Dutch), opened one up, and connected a few meters of wire between the temperature sensor and the PCB, to measure temperature at eye level rather than inside the duct. The sensor is an NTC, type MF58D, not sure about the resistance range, haven't tested it. (This would void my warranty, but didn't have that anyway, bought the lot on marktplaats.nl
). The controller is an ATXMega32D4, with a whole lot of test contacts at the back of the PCB, shouldn't be too hard to tap into it to get actual temperature readings.
Is for later, though (I have one spare left, but lots of other stuff to finish first).

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
does this thermostat report battery status?
Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
thanks, now is reporting

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
another 2 quetions hehe:
1- What is the best way to repair a E5 error?
2- This default values are correct? could be that the item was bad included? Any clould explain me that values?

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
E5 Means that there's no controller available. Is it to far from your Zwave controller? Do you have other powered devices around? How many devices are there in your network?
For the settings: I have all days at 0. Don't remember if I set it that way or that it just was like that. Don't think they mather much. They are mainly for programming the valve in a standalone situation. With Domoticz, you let Domoticz handle the programmation of time and temperatures.

Sorry to response on a very old message, but i am very curious about your experience with the Danfoss LG-13.marcelr wrote:Today I also installed a bunch of these thermostats in my home.

And with type of Antenna do you use for the connection with the LG-13

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
That's not a lot. I have hem connected to the radiators, set to a temperature setpoint, and that's it. They do their job. Haven't had the inclination to start tinkering with them yet.but i am very curious about your experience with the Danfoss LG-13.

Not sure what you mean with antenna. The z-wave antenna is inside the housing of the LC-13. It's the floppy strip of metal connected to the rectangular pcb, top left in the picture. If you mean the temperature sensor, that's a small NTC resistor, at app. 4 'o clock on the round pcb, centre left. I soldered it off the pcb, and put an extension wire in between.

Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
Thanks for sharring your experience. With antenna i mean with usb dongle are you using. In the datasheet they speak about a z-wave.me software due to the power saving of the battery. So i am in doubt of bying a z-wave.me uzb stick. Or the aeon labs zwave stick.marcelr wrote:That's not a lot. I have hem connected to the radiators, set to a temperature setpoint, and that's it. Re: Danfoss LC13 temperature
I have a razberry right now, operating the lc-13's through its native software and webinterface. Not an extremely well working environment. It does its job, but that's it. Connected to domoticz, it's probably way better. I bought an aeonlabs usb stick (gen5 IIRC), haven't found the time to play with it yet.
