Noki Smartlock for Europe

I just found this kickstarter about a european Smartlock that can be installed without drilling or leaving marks.
The lock will be controlled via BlueTooth and with the optional bridge via WiFi.
API's will be available and they promise to bring support for various Domotica systems and make it easy to implement to your domitica system.
We will also provide public libraries and examples to integrate Noki with a Raspberry Pi on our website.
I thought I would share it, maybe someone will like it. I ordered one, when I receive it I will review it.

See it here:

What do you think?

Interesting. Any idea when it will ship? They said early 2016 so they're late...

Depends: there seems to be no security on your local network but if, like me, you do not open up your network to the outside world other than through a VPN then it's as secure as your VPN. Outside of that, you can connect securely through bluetooth. In that sense, it's as secure as all teh otehr locks that connect through bluetooth.

They changed their name to Nuki btw. Apparently, Nokia gave them hassle...
