Playing internet radio on Rocki-players

Post by dhanjel »

Unfortunately, we don´t have any native dlna/upnp support in domoticz. but Rocki has some HTTP calls available as well.

If you want a simple switch for playing a specific radion station, create a virtual device and add the following url:s to start and stop,
and change IP and URL to the player and stream you like.

Play: http://192.168.1.194/cgi-bin/rocki.cgi? ... :59:59.999
Stop: http://192.168.1.194/cgi-bin/rocki.cgi?Stop=true

Could you use this kind of http call to play a sound file through a Rocki aswell?

Today we have built in speakers in the living room ceiling connected to a local android computer in the kitchen. It works fine playing music but I would also like to play sound files from my Domoticz computer out in the garage. Like dogs barking when nobody is at home and someone rings the door. :-)
