Exist a way to play audio notification on remote devices?

Hi All,
I'm looking for a system to play audio notifications (wav/mp3 files or text to speech) on my wifi connected tablets (Android or iOS) when some domoticz events occur.
For example I searched without success, into Google Play Store for an app with a RESTful interface that allow me to interact with system functions (like sound notifications) when called an HTTP URL of the tablet/phone.
example: http://ANDROIDLOCALIP/play?notification.mp3
the REST interface is useful because is easily manageable within Domoticz Events or LUA interface with OpenURL command.
Of course this is just an idea, any alternative vision to accomplish this need is welcomed!
