Domoticz

Hi!

I just looked at my energy meter because i would also like to view my energy consumption in domoticz.

But i think it's gonna by tricky/not possible,
I dont know anything about it so maybe someone could help me...
this is a picutere from my meter:



btw (like you can see on the picture) I think its sealed...
(its an industrial meter, it is situated in our elektriciteitscabine)

It seems that it has two blinking LED's: imp/kVarH and imp/kWh. Is that true?

Stick a YouLess to the unit (kvarH or kWh) you get billed for and you're done. YouLess is already supported in Domoticz.

I guess this meter also has an ir port (for ir lesekopf) and a rs232 port.

It also seems to have a bi-directional communication interface (the two infrared LED's above 'dlms'), that you probably can read (with "IR-Schreib-Lesekopf") but the output that you will get will be totally different than a meter in a house, so Domoticz won't understand the data i think.

The YouLess will work like i said, but it will only count the amount of flashes. Your meter seems to support multiple tariffs, that information isn't the YouLess able to tell you.
Same for when you produce power (solarpanels/windmill maybe?), the reading will then not be correct, as you can't tell by only looking at a flashing LED if you are consuming or producing energy.

So if you want to know: on day <xx> i used <yy> kWh/kvarh, then you will be fine with a YouLess.
If you want to know the different used tariffs, or measure energy production, you will have to look for something else.

I don't think Domoticz is going to implement the data output of this meter (if read by IR port / RS232), because the target audience is too small (look at the top banner, it says 'home automation system', not 'company automation system' ). But you are free to try ofcourse, if you can get output from the meter via the IR-port / RS232.

But what do i have to use for: "#define PULSE_FACTOR 1000 // Nummber of blinks per KWH of your meeter" ?
now i have it set to '10 000'
i use the 'imp/kWh' (and not the 'imp/kvah')

like you can see in the picture (first post) there also is marked a "10 000"
but at the bottom of the device (picture) there is: "0.2Wh/imp"
(which results in : 5000 impulses /kwh if im right) so wich one do i have to use?

and have i to modify the value in the domoticz settings under 'settings' --> 'meters/counters' -->'RFXMeter/Counter Dividers:'
'Energy' is now set to "1000". should i change this?

because i have a feeling this isnt working right for now
when turn on the microwave to a "1000W" i see the value of the meter in my domoticz change from "380Watt" to "425Watt" (The 380Watt is because an industrial refrigerator ) but all these values seems to low (well i think so, i don't really know)

do you have suggestions how i should configure my settings? Pulse values?
because even when i modify my 'PULSE_FACTOR' that is now set on '10 000" into "5000" it will still be not correct i think? (it will only double which is still not enough i think? becuase now : Microwave 1000W is from 380 to 425 --> so is 45 watt.. when it would double it would still only be a 90 watt? so there is still factor 10 wrong?

or am i missing something?
