Aeon Labs S2 and Fibaro Wall Plug

Hello,

It seems this is yet another topic on the S2 stick and the Fibaro Wall plug.

I'm trying to add a Fibaro Wall Plug device to domoticz. This is my first try with Z-Wave devices. I followed the instructions to include the plug in the network with the S2 key. I believe it worked since the S2 key stopped blinking and the light stayed solid for 3 seconds.

When I add the S2 Stick to domoticzs in the hardware panel and click on [Configuration] I can see there is a device but no information about what it is and its red status would see to indicate there is a problem:

Is there any way I can get some information explaining why the device status is red?
Could anyone please give me some indication as to what could be the issue here?

The Aeon stick is up to date with the latest version and the drivers properly installed.
I'm running Domoticzs v2.2240 on Windows.

Thanks!

Bonjour!

It appears that your device is known to the controller, but has not yet been contacted for information regarding capabilities and status. I cannot give you a simple answer, but there are some things that you might try:

(a) Click the "controller" line in the table, and look for the parameters that appear below the table. In particular, ensure that the controller's "poll interval" setting is something like 30 seconds or less. This ensures that the controller will go looking around the network regularly.

(b) Click on the "Unknown" line, and then activate the "polling" option ("Activer l'interogation"). This will cause the controller to attempt to contact the device regularly.

(c) Wait for a while and the device should be recognised and then you will be able to access configurations. If this does not happen, switch the device manually a couple fo times and look in the LOG window to see if messages are passing.

(d) If the device is not recognised after this, then check the Open Zwave configuration files within the Domoticz config directory. It may be that the device is not properly supported yet...

(e) Last thought - if you took the Z-STCK 2 off the system to do the inclusion, and then replaced it but without stopping Domoticz first, it might be wise to try a fresh re-start of the system. Watch the log file as you re-start to see any relevant messages passing when Domoticz tries to contact the hardware.

Good luck!

try excluding the device

Well, apart from the fact that their status does not seem to get reported correctly if you control them manually via the web interface:

Thank you very much for the replies!

I did a reset of everything. I excluded the fibaro plug from the network, did a hard reset of the fibaro plug and included it back with the S32 stick.
For some reason, every time I remove the S2 stick from the list of hardware Domoticzs hangs. I have to kill the process and relaunch it to be able to remove and re-add the S2 stick to the hardware list.

Anyway, I set a poling of 10 seconds on the S2 and enabled the polling on what seems to be the fibaro plug.
Now I can the switch in the device list. We're making progress!

However, there seems to be a communication issue from Domoticz and the fibaro plug. If I switch it on from Domoticz, the plug does not turn on and if I push the button on the plug, domoticz does not update its status.

Looking in the log I found this:
2015-02-08 14:26:11 Error: OpenZWave: Node has failed (or is not alive), Switch command not sent!
I have seen the other thread and I know there might be some issues with the fibaro plug. However, it should work.. more or less.

Any idea what I have done wrong?

Hi Trianenn, I have the same problem. When I click on the light to turn on or off my Fibaro Plug through the Domoticz Interface, nothing is happening.
Did you find a solution ?

I can turn on the fibaro wall plug threu Domoticz, but not able to turn it off. Problem with sending code.
When I restart my Raspberry.
Everything works.
